 DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF KALYANI

Sealed tenders are invited for execution of the following works in the Department of Zoology, University of Kalyani : 

1. Construction of Cold Room Specifications:

   ii) Cold room size: 9ft X 7ft X 7ft (H)
   ii) Temperature range: 0oC to 4oC
i  iii) Insulation: Inside wall, roof, floor and door.
         a) Inside wall: In between two brick wall 60mm PUF. Inside wall plastering, finishing and painting.

         b) Ceiling: PUF (60mm) with ductable airflow system

         c) Floor: PUF (60mm) with antiskid GI

         d) Door: size 34inches X 78 inches (sliding or pull/push with automatic hydraulic door closure. Insulation as per inside wall.  
  iv) Refrigeration unit: Preferably Kirloskar (Copeland) microprocessor type. Two compressor units for alternate running…..will set in condensing unit by alternative timer.  
  v) Temperature indicator: Clock type, digital thermometer.
  vi) Electrical wiring: Interested parties may inspect to ascertain the cost of wiring.

Estimated cost = Rs. 3.4 lakh 

2. Renovation of Animal Room: 

  i) Installation of AC machines (1.5 ton capacity) ; high quality branded preferably Hitachi, Kirlosker – 6 (six) numbers.

Estimated Cost = Rs. 1.2 lakh

  ii) Floorinng with linoleum (interested parties may  inspect to ascertain the cost). 

Estimated cost : Rs. 20,000/-  

Tenders should be submitted within May 23, 2008 or within 20 working days from the date of advertisement in “The Statesman”, whichever is later to the Head,Department of Zoology, University of Kalyani along with an earnest money @ 2.5 % of the estimated cost in the form of Demand Draft to be drawn in favour of  “University  of Kalyani” and payable at “Kalyani”. All payments will be made from the office of the Finance Officer, Kalyani University and taxation will be charged as per rules. The university reserves the right to  accept or cancel any or all tenders whatsoever without assigning any reasons.
