Other activities
He is involved in the promotion of excellence in education in addition to other activities. He by himself has made personal donation to establish corpus at the University of Kalyani for a biennial Endowment Lecture in Organic Chemistry to be delivered by eminent chemists (National/International) and also for three annual awards (Silver Medals) each for: (i) the topper of B.Sc in Chemistry of Kalyani University, (ii) the topper of M.Sc in Chemistry of Kalyani University, and (iii) the best Research Scholar of the department of Chemistry of the University of Kalyani. To encourage infusion of the ideals of Acharya Prafulla Chandra Ray to young minds, he has donated and installed a half-bust statue of Acharya P. C. Ray in the University campus.
