The University is providing academic guidance and leader ship to 37 affiliated colleges located in three districts of Nadia, Murshidabad and North 24 Parganas, of which 16 colleges are in Nadia, 20 in Murshidabad and 1 in North 24 Parganas.
The University administration has been obliged to devote greater attention and resources to examination related activities and monitoring of the working colleges. A full time Inspector of Colleges has been appointed for the task which has to be conducted in collaboration with the West Bengal State Council of Higher Education.
