Boards of studies are attached to respective Faculty Council for PG studies and Council for UG studies.
Powers & functions
Respective board(s) shall recommend to the respective Faculty Council(s) regarding courses of studies & syllabi for various exams. in the subject(s); books for study including text books; improvement in teaching method, study, examination; appointment of examiners, paper setters, moderators, etc in the concerned subject.
Composition
PG Board of Studies.
Head of the PG Department concerned as Chairman, all whole-time teachers of the Department and three co-opted external members.
UG Board of Studies.
Head of the PG Department, two PG teachers as elected from Faculty Council for PG studies, six UG teachers as elected from Council for UG studies and three co-opted external members. The Vice-Chancellor nominates one of them as Chairman.
